About Me

FlexPair is my passion project, hours and hours and hours of work has gone into it’s creation. After full days of work in my corporate job and being a mum, I’ve sat down at the computer to tap, tap, tap away. Much blood aka wine, sweat aka water and tears.. definitely tears.. have gone into it’s formation.

FlexPair was born alongside my son, when I wanted to work part-time after his birth and found navigating the corporate world tough, to say the least. I’ve ticked off a lot of firsts at my current employer and I am grateful they have worked with me to support my needs, but should it be this hard to work part-time?

I don’t think it’s right that the quantity of jobs and career progression opportunities are limited.

I couldn’t shake the feeling that I couldn’t be the only one to have experienced this and there must be a better way. With so many professionals seeking work-life balance as they accommodate any number of factors in their life, job sharing seems like a no brainer. But I kept wondering how you’re meant to find your missing puzzle piece? An old work colleague? Sure. But that’s not always an option.

So, the answer has become: FlexPair. That’s how.

It took me a while to build up the courage to develop my idea, who am I to start a business like this? I have a physics degrees and a smattering of technical knowledge across several industries, not the most likely candidate. But without FlexPair, employees are missing out on fulfilling work and employers are missing out on talented workers, and I couldn’t make that make sense, so here we are. Welcome.

Let’s give everyone the right to work they want to do.
